Workshop Outline
Introduction (15 minutes):
- Welcome and introduction to gardening.
- Icebreaker activity to get to know each other and understand participants' familiarity with gardening.
Concept Explanation (25 minutes):
- Explaining essential concepts necessary for gardening.
Hands-On Activity (30 minutes):
- Provide each participant with a small pot, soil, and seeds (easy-to-grow herbs or flowers).
- Demonstrate how to plant seeds, water, and care for plants.
- Encourage participants to ask questions and actively participate in planting.
Interactive Learning (15 minutes):
- Quiz or game to reinforce key concepts learned during the workshop.
- Discuss the importance of taking care of plants and the environment.
Q&A and Wrap-Up (10 minutes):
- Answer any remaining questions from participants.
- Recap what was learned and encourage participants to continue gardening at home or at school.
Beginner's Workshop
In this beginner workshop kids will learn about the concept of gardening and the importance of plants for our survival.
This will serve as a foundation for upcoming workshops and aid in creating an understanding of the matter.
Shining Star Workshop
In this workshop, the kids will learn about the different varieties of edible plants and what are the best practices to grow them.
By the end of this session kids will easily be able to grow their own kitchen gardens.
